Spoelstra isn't coach of the year. If you have 3 of the top ten or fifteen players in the NBA you should at least be able to make it to the NBA finals.

Your not reading right...... MVP, Coach of the year (D-Rose and Thibodeau) the Menace (Heat)

And I beg to differ.....there are many on here who have Defied your top ten or fifteen theory....but nice try!

Fine. If you have 2 of the top 5 you should probably be able to reach the finals. Especially if your 3rd best is in the top 20-25. Spoelstra isn't the best coach in the league at all. He's really not that good of a coach. He's alright, but not great.

I think Coach of the Year should go to someone who did the most with the least (went above expectations)

I'll be the mediator here. Yes, having the some of the best players in the NBA definately helps your chances of winning a title ala the heat. But take a look at the Knicks. Melo and Amare are two All-NBA team all stars and they got walloped in the first round. Also, according to this theory..is Phil Jackson not one of the best coaches of all time then? He coached the greatest player of all time and another top 50 player for six titles. And Kobe and Shaq for most of the others. Phil had the most talented team..but it takes a good coach to manage those egos.

With that being said, Thibdeau deserved COY because he did a lot good things with not THAT much talent. Spo had alot of troubles during the year which prob hurt his chances.

PS..who's ready for another Mavs/ Heat finals???

If anyone out there remembers the last time D-Wade ran through the playoffs he Had the Shaq Man bringing up the rear.
He led but Shaq brought up the rear and gave him the edge..... Ironically He is in the same position during this Playoff run as Shaq was, he is bringing up the rear and the man driving the train is the #1 player in the world.
Truth is Shaq was still that big of a force and that let D-wade shine, along with one of the best leading at the helm Riely.
This Heat team isn't dangerous solely because of the Players....its real dangerous because of the Man who wrote Winner Within.
Remember He is the one who said back in the Alonso Morning days "no one wins as long as he is in the league" he being who? Air Jordan.....who has the same effect on NBA Basketball ? you guessed it, The King......Now the Ball is in Riley's court.
You dont get just one Chance with a Lebron or Jordan type, you get multiple, you just need the right Manager.

If he had this same effect wouldn't he already have some rings? Many people have been winnning for many years with Lebron in the league.

It took Jordan 7 years, to get his first....would have took him longer and he wouldnt have gotten 6 without what?? the right man at the helm.....you have to see the BIG picture in Pro Sports. get it?

The NBA is rigged. Of course Lebron was going to make the finals this year. Then they give the Cavs the #1 pick for losing Lebron. Lebron and Wade are great players, but Bosh is a joke. You know its rigged when Bosh scores 34 the other night just shooting jumpers. Anyone with half a brain would be able to shut him down by just playing some tight D and he would be useless. But no, they just sit back and let him shoot open jumpers all night. Rigged!!

If the Heat win the title I will never turn on an NBA game for the rest of my life. I hope the NBA allows the Mavs to pull off the "upset".

To say no one is winning a title as long as Lebron is playing when he has never won one is easily one of the most ridiculous comments you have ever made.

This Nonsense is like saying The Refs decide the Games.....and the reason its nonsense is Vegas wouldn't allow it. If its so rigged why dont you take $10,000 and turn it into $100,000 this Final series.

My predictions were right Because of the time I have spent with this game, Most ND folk move onto Baseball (like watching paint dry) right after the big Dance, they can watch Colered Guys play if they are not getting Paid (what does that remind you of) but once they cash in on the sport they love everyone tunes out, or if they tune in they dont take it as true Basketball, doesn't make sense to me.

Well I didn't say it! Riley did... and I thought it sounded dumb too but he had just lost and it was right after Air's second three peat so he was giving respect knowing things were dissolving ....but he wasn't far off and I think he feels this way About Lebron....
Do I? Its kind a like this "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll tootsie pop?" lets find out....

How ridiculous was Mavs in 5 and Heat will beat Bulls???...Now remember I said Heat in 7 for this next one.....but if that happens I will be sad for Dirk.

Does the name Donahey ring a bell? I'd love to be able to bet on the series and guarantee a win. I just don't know how the NBA is leaning on this one. Do they want the Heat to win it all so they can keep talking about "this is what Lebron came to south beach to do" or do they allow the Mavs to pull the "upset" like I said before and turn some story about Dirk and Cuban finally bringing a championship to Dallas. I'm sure they're running the financial analysis right now to see which outcome will bring the league the most money and will be meeting with the refs of the series tomorrow to talk about "the plan".

Yea I just don't Know how they will convince Lebron to stay down and quite blocking all those shots, if the Mavs could get D-Rose to go incognito he could get revenge on the Man that should have gotten his 3erd MVP in a row....It will be this series to see if Dirk or He wins the Playoff MVP.....or is that in the plan.

Good call with Donahey, except he was under federal prosecution and never said the games were rigged. Don't even talk about financial analysis, when the most followed team in the NBA went out in 4, and both conference finals ended in 5. You don't think the NBA would have benefited from having longer series?

Who is all in on it? In your first post you said the teams were in on it and now you're saying it is the refs too? Sounds like a big conspiracy.

Do you honestly think Donahey was the only ref involved? Or that only point shaving was happening? C'mon he was just the fall guy. Look how many Lakers series have had very questionable officiating and endings in the last 10-15 years. Why does the lottery occur behind closed doors and not picking ping pong balls out on live TV like they used to? To me, the NBA is only slightly above the WWE when it comes to being "real".

Oh come on, you cant be that sore about the Unstacked Heat winning, because if they were Stacked like others are implying they wouldn't be winning because its rigged.

I'm not sore that the Heat won. Like you always say, I don't have a dog in the race anyway. I'm not a fan of any particular team in the NBA. I'm just stating some things that bug me about the NBA. Of course Lebron was going to the finals this year. With the big fiasco over the off season the NBA was going to make sure he was there.

You don't Know David Stern very well, and if Lebron would have jetted up to Chicago or NY instead of Miami, then it would have been them going instead, he almost made it with Mo Williams and Donte West and as strong as he is finishing out games now...(Which is better than Kobe and comparable to MJ) nobody will touch them.....Did the NBA tell D-Wade to average 18 in the Chicago series and when he had just come off of a 30 point average against Boston......but they still beat the Bulls because the Game is Rigged, Rigged so much that Miller has even started contributing. The only Rigged Run I've ever seen in the Pros is when Katrina wrecked New Orleans and then the NFL made sure they Beat my Vikes so they could win the Superbowl for the torn City....

Hey now. No reason to be throwing the WWE under the bus. Besides nobody ever really said it's supposed to be real. Its in the "sports entertainment" business, not the sports business.

The lottery accusation is beyond stupid. Two examples: 2008, there are 2 (supposed) franchise players and Seattle and Portland get the first 2 picks. Why on God's green earth would the NBA want their best players there? 1997 the Spurs win the Tim Duncan lottery. In both years the Celtics had the 2nd worst record in the NBA. If the lottery were rigged, the NBA would have let Boston win the lottery.

Why didn't the conference final games go more than 5 games?
If it were rigged why would you let the Knicks stink for so long?
