(Editor's note: A mistake was made in the local story in Thursday's edition of the Times-Record. Mindy Morgenstern's homicide occurred Wednesday, Sept. 13, not Tuesday as reported. We're sorry for the error, particularly as it may hamper police investigation. We were beyond deadline and had to rush our report; plus, truth be told, we at the T-R are not hardened investigative reporters we were as rattled as everyone else that something like this could happen in our hometown. Our hearts go out to Mindy's friends and family. Our apologies for the mistake and please if anyone saw anything suspicious or out of the ordinary Wednesday, Sept. 13, particularly in the area of Fifth Avenue and Eighth Street N.E., report it immediately to the Valley City Police Department at 845-3110.
