There that is my prediction. And PS the mustache aka Pavano aka Luigi aka Pavstach is awesome. Mustaches in general are AWESOME. The entire team needs to grow mustaches and if you don't think so just ask Reggie Jackson, Rollie Fingers, Jim "catfish" Hunter and the 72 As and their back to back to back World Series Championships.

I must disagree. I hate mustaches. I think they look stupid. I'm all for the goatee or beard, but not the mustache.

Me thinks someone can't grow one of his own???????? I kid, I kid. I would name all of the influential men who have sported Lip Knowledge aka a mustache but that list is too long and is still growing. Instead I leave you with this.

Anyone have any thoughts on how the Chi Sox getting Manny might affect the AL Central race?

I dislike manny and his whole "manny being manny", but the fact of the matter is the guy has always been a great hitter and an awful outfielder. In chicago he will be a DH so I feel like he will help them down the stretch

Twins need to re-up Thome for next year. Not only for his production, but also because of the fanfare that will surround his 600th home run next year. The guy is incredible, super humble, what a role model.

Well you play for home field, If they make the ALCS they are going to need every advantage they can get to take down the yanks.

Yanks have to get there first...let's not just give the Rangers/Yanks series to the Yanks just yet.

Looks like the JV is playing today - no Mauer (injured), no Cuddyer, no Hudson, no Hardy, no Thome, no Young. Revere, Span, Repko in the outfield, MORALES at 1B (wow), Tolbert, Casilla, Valencia, and Butera. The team they have on the field today has a total payroll of less than $5M. Probably less than $3M.

My feeling (and just about everyone elses) is you should play for homefield, but I think you will see a lot of "Sunday" lineups over the next 2 weeks.

I think if guys are healthy they will play, but if they have any nicks at all they will rest. They need to play to stay sharp. Kubel especially needs to get his stroke back.

What do you think the Twins rotation will be like in the playoffs? I think it should be Liriano, Pavano, Duensing, and Slowey.
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.

Gardy already stated that it would be Liriano, Pavano, Duensing and Blackburn (in that order; Slowey is an emergency starter).

Gardy's already said it will be Liriano, Pavano, Duensing, and Blackburn.

I agree with that - Blackburn has been pretty much lights out since he came back from Rochester. The problem they are going to have is deciding on the last 2 bullpen spots between Mijares, Slowey, and Baker.

Gardy will probably keep Mijares becuase he's going to want 2 lefties in the pen. Then he has to decide between Slowey and Baker for the last pen spot. One of those guys is going to be very disappointed.
