Ben Woodside in the NBA

What does everyone here think about that? I think we can all agree he has good enough game to play in the league but I think his size will hold him back. During the game today he drew many comparisons to Steve Nash. I don't know if i'd go that far, plus Nash is 6'3 to Woodside being 5'11. No matter what happens it's been fun watching Woodside at NDSU the past four years and I wish him the best of luck.

My prediction is that he will play some place in Asia and make millions of dollars. He toured around Asia last year when he played with Athletes in Action. Maybe it left a good impression on him and he will go to someplace like the NBL in Australia. Just my guess. Either that or look for him in the D-League if he thinks he might get called up. It depends on how much he wows them at the senior player scout camp.

my guess is Europe. I would love to see it but i honestly dont give him much of a chance, if any, to play in the NBA. he'll make a career and a nice living off it, just not the NBA.

The problem with the D-league, I believe, is that the pay is really low compared to playing overseas. If you aren't on the verge of being signed by an NBA team, then you are losing a lot of money playing there. I believe former NDSU center Lance Berwald made over a million dollars, during his career, playing in Europe and that was a long time ago.

Andre Smith. He has been doing pretty good and I think he's been moving up the chain as far as leagues go. Last I heard he was playing in Greece.

Andre Smith was just named the MVP of the British pro league he plays in.

I think Woodie will end up in the NBA.

ESPN currently doesn't have Woodside listed in their top 100 NBA draft prospects.

ESPN also had Darko Milicic to have more potential than everyone in the 2003 draft class but LeBron.

His not being ranked in that is because nobody knew who Woodside was untill he scored 60 points against Stephen F. Austin. Once he works out with teams and plays in pre-draft camps his stock will be more accurate based on those lists.

Woodside will get his chance in the league, he may not get drafted but he will at least get some tryouts/workouts with teams and scouts. I wouldnt be surprised one bit to see a team take a chance on him. I think Woodside showed he is just as good as some of the guards that will be in this draft, the problem though, this is a very deep PG class...

Should we discredit everything ESPN says about the NBA draft? ESPN wasn't the only one who was wrong on Darko.

I didn't say that, but you can't always believe something because it was on ESPN.

Read in the paper that he was going to play in that all star game during the final four. Congrats to Ben, I hope he makes it.
