darin erstad, jamestown native and outfielder for the l.a. angels has signed to represent dakota kid sunflower seeds. actually he signed at the end of march, but late news is news, too.

personally i think this move comes about five years too late and i think they should do a double promotion (with travis hafner) or a triple promotion (with pronk and rick helling), but hey, at least someone from the state is getting recognition in the majors.

personally, i like dakota kid seeds and i'm not getting an endorsement deal. i like them for the resealable bag.

I think darin is very stuck up i was talking to timmy olson about 2 years ago when he got his first mlb playing time and they(olson and helling) wanted a picture with erstad because they are from ND and erstad just blew them both off olson tried to shake his hand and he just walked right by them.

I saw Erstad at a restaurant in Fargo a few years back and he had no problem signing an autograph for me.

this was an autograph for a kid in front of people in his state obviously he will do it and timmy was telling me all about it

I live in Jamestown and see Darin about once a year.  He generally is pretty open with the public but most people don't really try to bother him.  I always thought he was pretty courteous to his fans and should be a good ND rep.

Why does your one point of reference carry more weight than everyone elses??

If it didn't happen to you and you weren't there. how do you know its' true?

Accusations based on hearsay don't equal fact.

been using spell check for years and still can't read very well

because the person it happened to hence timmy olson talked to me about yes the one that played baseball at saint marys when my dad was the assistant coach there the same one that played a little while with arizonia but lost out to cintron my dad me timmy and his dad talk quite frequently and this came directly out of timmys mouth directly to me so that is how i got it and that is why i am saying this they are not accusations they are verified statements from the one who wasnt good enough to shake in all your opinions "gods" hand

there i fixed all 3 of those words next time be a problem solver and sound it out

You stated that the Mandan girls have facial hair.  I guess that makes you a proverbial donkey too? ;) There are numerous reasons for not shaking hands or for not taking a picture.  It doesn't make you a bad person or a donkey, it just means that for some reason you didn't take the time to do those things.

So you are saying everyone else's stories are made up? Get off your high horse dude. Your one absolutely positive story doesn't mean any more than the more than multiple positive stories to credit Erstad being a good guy. Move on.

For the fifth time, I didn't say Erstad was one thing or another, I just asked why you think your story means MORE than everyone else's story???

Jon  (at BHS) please leave people's appearance out of your comments.

After watching the girls on TV and seeing the interviews it is visually apparent that they don't have facial hair and that you have some other agenda (maybe it is just aggravating me:X).

You are intitled to your opinion about Erstad, but so are we.

 Ok folks we started off seriously talking about Darin Erstad and now have moved into womens facial hair, spell check, and miscellaneous accusations.  Since we haven't talked much about Mr. Erstad here I'll lock the topic.  Please play nice, there is no reason to get off track and upset about any of this.
