Preseason Final Four Picks

Talk about the world of sports here. And also a sub-forum to talk about anything else.

What are your preseason picks to make it to the final four?

I have:
Florida
UCLA
Wisconsin
Arizona

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Arizona wins it all.  I dont wanna pick any of the big favorites. Zona has the experience, coaching, they have good guards and posts.  Shakur, Radenovic, McClellan, and Williams will be great.

1. UNC

2. Florida

3. Duke

4. Texas

I am going to say UNC wins it. Tyler Hansborough is too fundamentally sound with good players around him.

UNC
Arizona
Kansas
Florida

No particular order, just think these will be the teams that will contend for it.

Anybody have a George Mason like team in the Tournament this year?

Kansas - My pick to win.  Rush and Wright carry team to the championship.  perhaps the deepest team at every position.  Rush, Robinson, Collins, Chalmbers, Stewart at gaurds and Wright, Kaun, Jackson, and Arthur in the posts.   If Rush stays, they repeat in 08.

Ohio State - Oden, Cook, Conley are argueably the three best freshman in the country.  and when you put them on the same team they can cause nightmares for any team who plays them.  Carmelo carried syracuse to the title, this is the equivalent of him and LeBron being on the same college team.

Arizona - Shakur, Williams, and Radenovic are capable of carrying the team to the Final Four.  One weakness woudl be 3-point shooting.  if they can improve that from last year and get all 5 defenders out of the lane, they have a good chance at taking the title.

Wisconsin - 2nd Big Ten team to get in (how can you have a Final Four without 2 teams from one conference anymore?).  Tucker and Taylor are a great 1-2 combo and Butch dominates the paint this year.

I dont pick my favorite team to win it all just because I want them to win, I pick who I actually think is gonna win.  I actually put some thought into it...

i agree...its not just Kansas.  look over the past years, teams that are expected to be the powerhouses lose to the smaller schools in the beginning of the year and then run of a strin of 18 straight wins.  so your saying they wont win the national championship because they are 1-1.
