Caught this in the herald today on the black Eyed Peas concert this past month at the Al. Sounds like the City of Grand Forks lost around $50,000 because of a low turn out. Here's part of the article on it. I really don't know why you would bring in the black Eyed peas? I don't think they are that big, especially in North Dakota. I wonder if they survey or something events that would be popular or not and not just bring in what they think is hot. Is it me or some of these City Council members blaming UND students for this??

City Council meets with UND Student Senate

Small concert draw

Another issue addressed by Gershman was the fact that the Black Eyed Peas concert did not draw as many people as expected. Gershman addressed the Student Senate, asking why more students didn't turn out for the show.

“The city probably lost $50,000 on that,â€
