What makes you think they'll be so good? They could very likely be the worst team in the division.

9-7. Maybe slip in as a wild card. No more Favre drama and I think McNabb has got some gas left in the tank. Peterson is still good and the D could still be solid. I don't think Chi-town and Detroit will be as good as people think.

all the lions really need is a solid running back to be a serious playoff contender and for stafford to stay healthy

I predict 7 - 9. I think their offensive line is questionable and I don't see McNabb being a difference maker in most games. Peterson will be one of the best backs in the league but I think they will struggle at the receiver spots. (You never know when Harvin will come down with a migraine.) I also think their defensive line is not going to be as effective at stopping the run as they have been in the past.

Chemistry...with Coach's and Players (#1 way to win in pro-sports)....weapons mean nothing if the Chemistry is not there. This team will surprise people. Vikes haven't started any of the last 10 seasons with this same opportunity....

Wilfs wont move the team.....but if they dont win this season and bid in a new stadium.....the team will be sold.....and then the new owner will move it.....No Pressure! :)

8-8. I agree with you winner with the chemistry statement. From what I have seen, it looks like the offensive players have gelled quickly with McNabb and are watching his back. Maybe because he actually showed up for training camp with the rest of the team :?:

6-10.

Questionable corners will make it almost impossible for the pash rush to have any time to get to the QB. Safety position is up in the air. Questions at receiver. The O-line could end up being a disaster. Charley Johnson is going to have a tough time protecting McNabb's blind side. McNabb could be out early and the Christian Ponder era might begin early. And Ponder had a VERY undistinguished college career. I saw nothing of his college play that warranted him being a first round pick.

Minnesota pro sports fans will be looking to the Wild for wins to cheer about.

Whoops! You are right Flip. They have had an impressive run so far this year - home court throughout the playoffs. Let's hope they can bring home a title. Wouldn't that be interesting....do you think they'd have a parade for them?

Hoping for 8-8, but scared it might not be that good.

I think they have to go to Ponder and not because the season is lost, but because he has to be a better option than McNabb. Without looking too closely I'd guess he's one of the worst 5 starting QBs in the league right now.

Hopefully the vikings are able to draft Andrew Luck this year to help out at QB next year.

After seeing his catch this weekend he might be able to help at the WR too

They need to get someone young that can move with the line protection that they aren't giving the QB. They need to stay away from the older QB. Get someone new and give him the reins for the offense.

I think its about time to give Webb and Ponder a shot..cause McNabb isn't worth it. No wonder Washington only wanted a 4th Round draft pick for him.

BINGO, McNabb needs to retire with the respect he had. He was a great QB but, its time to bow out before he gets hurt or loses the Hall of Fame.

I don't think McNabb has the numbers for the Hall of Fame. He was just a pretty good QB.

I don't think he gets in either, but he has more TD passes than Steve Young.

I can see the Vikes going 5-11 this year but my biggest surprise so far this year is the Lions are 4-0. What's up with that?

They just keep adding defensive monsters through the draft (though Fairly has been hurt and hasn't done much yet.) The biggest thing, Stafford is finally healthy and he is a top QB in the league.
