2021-2022 Football Alignment

I seen on the NDHSAA website, that the preliminary regions of what the 2021-2022 season will look like. And in 9B theirs eight regions with 5 teams in each region. Will they combine to have less regions, by having 10 teams in each region for a total of four regions total? But if it stays with eight regions, how would the playoff format work then? I think they finalize the realignment in December but I'm not sure. Just curious let me know thank you.

This has been stated in the 2021 Football plan post...they are still working on those details and will have more info later in October or November (surveying member schools).
