From reading the article in the newspaper, it sounds like it was an exciting game. 1-goal lead for Red River 4 different times, and then come back to tie it and force overtime. Wish I would have ventured over to see that game.

didn't expect EGF to play GFRR so close.
but rivalry games are always the toughest.

good for GFRR and good for EGF playing so tough.

Too cold to travel the distance I would have to, to see a good game.

Maybe I'll get a to a couple this weekend.

WF was up on North 4-1 mid 3rd period.
Kind of an upset, but really, neither team will be playing any hockey come state tournament time

I had expected more of a 2-1, 3-2 game. Was anyone that posts regularly at the game?

I think Bottineau is the better team but they are not playing very good hockey right now. For them to win the play in game Getzlaff will have to play well. They make way to many mistakes in their own zone.

I have to agree with you. I thought dickinson was going to be one of the top teams in the west. i don't know what happened to them but they better get going before WDA or they are going to be in for a big surprise

I'm still going with BHS, CHS. I thought Minot would contend but now I'm not so sure, especially after seeing them play. I think WHS, Mandan, and Jamestown will be filling the other two spots. I actually should say CHS, Jamestown, Mandan, and Williston will try to get to the remaining three spots, and in no particular order.

Just to reiterate what eveyone else has been saying, WDA is going to be awesome this year. I have never seen the 2-7 seeds being this competitive, and any of them could make it to the big show.

My guess: BHS, Minot, WHS, Jamestown. Probably won't be right but you never know.

Have not seen anything posted on the news or on the ndhighschoolhockey site regarding the play-in games, they must be on Tuesday evening.
