Grafton should beat North by more than 6-2.... but they do not have a solid net minder in GPR land...
could be a shoot out-- like North vs. Century was last weekend.
6-5 or soemthing

Hey-- F.South will have it's hands full this Friday-- I saw that White BEar Lake is ranked #11 (Moorhead #9) in the 2A ranks of MN.Roseau(defending champs #1)- this coming from the MN HS rankings.

This should be a good one to keep an eye on.
Does anyone know if any radio stations will have that game from Wht. Bear lake on???
Maybe it would be available on the web somewhere-- anyone have an idea?

I know it will not be out here.

dicky vs BHS-- good test for both, after both had good weekends of wins.

Grafton-PR Spoilers score 8 and get shutout on Fargo North. Commentaters, including Bernie Burgraff, stated how the North goalie, Jake Labernik, played a great game, but Eric Monsebroten, G-PR goalie, made 18 saves and posted the shutout!

Spoiler92-- you must play for them????

sounds like a Good win??/ 8--0 over a North team.
now mind your P's a Q's-- the north team is not a good team--
(ie: lost to a Not to good team Century last week and BHS)

8 goals no surprise-- North not scoring ona weak goalie-- from GPR-- but then again-- as stated he only had 18 shots on him.
North is not to good-- don't count any chickens(they haven't hatched yet) regarding GPR being the front runner in the state.

good team--YES-- Great hmmmm????

Umm, her/his location is West Fargo and I could be wrong, but I think Spoiler92 already graduated from high school.

Are you saying there is a great ND high school hockey team?

Who are the teams most others look to knock off every year? It's usually RR, South, and Grafton so by ND standards Grafton is pretty dang close to being great.

Graduated from Grafton in 1992
Never said they are great, said, Bernie Burggraff said Labernik from North played a great game in net, but still gave up 8 goals. He still made about 45 saves.

Ok 92r'

"who's next?" sounded a little like a over-confident-- and cocky...

My bad-- no problems here-- just wanted to let you know what my thoughts were..
since I knew how some of the BHS/North game...was played.

someone mentioned that North needed more practice and because they were young they needed more than that. this person equated North to a bantam team.
yes they have Bekkadahl-- but one player does not a team make.....

spoiler92-- keep up the watching and give some updates-- good to hear from another perspective, and that is what these threads are all about.

Oh-- and the north goalie had 45 saves-- and gave up 8 goals--- that's 53 shots(and knowing GPR--) they were all probably right around the net, not to many just throws from inside the Blueline and or to many bad angles. they know how to play in GPR land--that is for sure.
north's shots were (just guessing-if anything like BHS game)-- from a little futher out-- and No 1-on none or break aways-- so the goalie from GPR didn't get challanged at all, just made routine saves-- kind of like the bHS goalie did....
just a thought...

You say 18 shots isn't alot for getting a shutout? Monsebroten played good in the second period having 14 saves. Look at aranason against whapeton he had 7 shots and let in 2 goals? Those stats don't sound like thats the best goalie in the state material

Updated again.

Also, I was at the GPR/North game, and Monsenbrotten (sp?) didn't look good at all. Had Fargo North been able to score on an empty net they would have had 3-4 goals that game. The first 2 shots that FN had made him scramble and throw out rebounds that shouldn't have even made a goalie move. Numerous times in the game I couldn't believe that FN didn't score, because they literally had an empty net to take a shot on for 2-3 seconds before a GPR defenseman got on them, and they didn't score. The FN goalie was doing pretty good, but it still wasn't stellar. The game coulda been anywhere from 5-0 in GPR's favor to 10-6 in GPR's favor, it was a pretty shaky fight.
I hate to be bashing goalies, but I don't think GPR's goalie was doing anything but standing there for most of the shots, it seemed more like that evil word 'luck' that FN didn't score on some of the huge rebounds or easy shots.

Looks like BHS will be able to hang with at least the 3rd best in the east
