name your top for 4 east teams and why you chose that.

mine are

1. Red River- They have a lot of returning scoring power even with the lose of Mark the "caveman". Reason I pick them for number one??...they are from Grand Forks. Yes I hate to say it but GF teams just always have something about them and they always find a way to win. This will be the team to take state unless their is a east team that makes a suprise.

2. South- They may have lost a lot of their big time boys that truley deserved that state champ. this year, but we all know...its South, they have a big enough school to reload every year in every sport. Too bad they are also one of the cockiest schools in the state. They will be tough to beat.

3. I say a 3 way tie. Grand Forks Central, Grafton PR, and Devils Lake.

Grand Forks had a slow start but you know what they got 3rd. Thats not so bad if you ask me. They have a couple youngsters that can skate and they will be tough again next year but not good enough for 1st place.

The little town of Grafton. They are a big hockey town and they will have a good year in my view even with the huge loses of kringstad and the campbells. But they will be led by the campbells linemate this year...forget his name at hte moment sorry. They have a lot of promising younger kids also. Grafton will be awesome for hte next 5-6 years.             quick fact- Little Grafton has been in the state championship game every 4th year.

Devils Lake had a young team this year that was very hard working. They have a strong sophmore and junior class. Their goalie was 6th in the state as a soph. They may have the most disadvantage since having no experience in the east but it only took them 2 minutes to adj. to East Compition in the state tourny putting south and their heels and earning lots of respect. This year 3-5 place for DL. 07-08 season i would have ot say top 2 in the state.

No kidding. There's been rumors about him going to BHS, JHS (riiight), Red River and South for sure. Maybe there's rumors about him going to other schools too.

I talked to his line mate at a track meet last week, and I suppose he is going to GFRR... No one has to believe and things will be said, but that is from his class mate, line mate, and friend, so I am guessing that is our best guess.

I don't think Jamestown will be at the top in the west but they won't be lower than 6th.  Jamestown played when they wanted to this year they did beat some good teams (Grafton, Devils Lake) and played 2 good teams at the EDC tourney pretty tough....  Jamestown does lose 70% of their points and a 2 year starting goalie...but despite not putting up anything for points this year, next year's senior class should be decent.  I would pick them 3rd with Bismarck and Minot ahead of them.

I big loss for BHS is Hillman, he wont be be playing next year.  So that hurts them a lot, he kept them in many key games.

Saucesauer and Ming01 What are your sources on Hillman leaving bhs? I cant find anything on the Bobcats website or the NAHL website( maybe not updated)?

I just heard that from local hockey kids and some people I know from BHS.

Thats legitimate. Have any idea about where or if other Bismarck kids are playing? Ross Monson or Justin Connel?

Hillman could start the season with the bobcats, play the high school season, then play for the bobcats again once the high school season is over.

Trust me, Hillman will not be playing high school next year.

Your right ming. I have heard also that he for sure will not be playing next year. As for monson and connell, well i wouldn't be surprised to see them with the bobcats next year too. I'm guessing they want to stay near home, i could be wrong, but i'm guessing so. I'm sure they'd like to play in front of a crowd that knows them?

Hillman could benefit from both situations, if he were to move on to juniors early it may increase his chances at a even higher level( college hockey) or if he would choose to play for BHS he may be a canidate for Mr. Hockey. I'm not to familliar with the 07 senior class in the state but Hillman's name sticks out.
