i'm alittle surprised to see tony bina's name on there!!!!

what about chuck ness (central), bruce olson (minot), dave hoff (bottineau), and i'm sure there is a bunch more.  bruce olson was probably minots best coach of all time, he coached during minots good years before gary sampson took over.

chuck ness coached grand forks central to numerous titles.

bruce olson was probably minots best coach of all time, he coached during minots good years before gary sampson took over.

dave hoff has had success in bottineau, made some state tournaments during the 90's.  given the size of the school, he has done a great job putting out competitive teams.

what has tony bina done?

I would agree with Bruce Olson as one of the best.  I don't know if I can pick just one however.  Bruce coached some great Minot teams.

I can't believe every one has forgotten about the best coach there was. You can't forget GORDON BOMBAY!!! With hard work and determination he turned district 5 into a championship team and got a babe along the way. He also brought home the championship with team USA. QUACK QUACK QUACK!!!!

They had a great program awhile back, Minot and bottineau was a huge rival. I have heard a lot of stories about back in the day.

bottineau has been tossing rabbits since the 70's, i watched the game in bottineau this winter and one rabbit made it too the ice.  does anybody else toss rabbits besides the bottineau crowd and they probably have rabbits stocked piled since the late 90s.

I was at a game 2 years ago at BHS the year before wilert left for the tri-city's. The first goal was scored by bhs and about 7 rabbits were tossed on the ice. Took about 8 mins just to have them scrap the blood and rabbits off the ice.

and those rabbits make the game that much more sweet and it gets the players into it, i guarentee there will be more than one next year

i think that anyone who played in minot in the past can tell you that its customary for a rabbit to hop out on to the ice to say hi during the games. I was also at a lumberjacks game a few years back when they played the beavers, and a dead beaver made its way out there too.
