I agree with your picks except for the Championship... it will be very hard for RR to beat South 3 times in a row,  South is just too good of a team and it seams like almost every year the team that wins the East Region loses at State... so I am going with South over Red River in the Championship game, these are by far the two best teams and it should be a great game!!

Everyone ready for my predicion of the week?  Just as I predicted North would beat Grafton;)  Red River will lose in the state semifinals this year.  Even being at home:shock:

I'm still ironing out my predictions but c'mon now, seriously? DL over South. I'm glad people are fans and support their teams, but that one does strike me as a bit of a stretch. I'll be the first to post in here if I'm eating crow on that one though!

Let's hope the State Tournament will be a great one! Ahhh I can smell the leather seats at The Ralph already!

Williston

i heard erickson for williston will be out he just had surgery yesterday. That is another big lose for williston and that is too bad for them, this was their big year and now are in a hard spot with injuries. He was their big man in the close games. He will come back and have another big year next season for the 4th time. So since i heard that, i take back the RR williston game. But i dont take back the williston GPR game. Grafton does not like to be hit. Williston loves to hit. They are ALL very strong on their skates. I was in awe of how they can hit. Lee will be back for the game which is a lot of help. So i stand by williston beating grafton. Willistons D will over power the grafton O. I think all the east teams will Have to bring what they got this year because the west is finally some what of the real deal. Minot should have a win. But even South and RR will have to come to play. You can't look past DL or BHS. If hillman has one of his hot games RR might find themselfs running for their money. Specially with BHS's first line playing like they have. Ross monson had 4 goals in the first WDA game. And i beleive 2 in the other 2. South will have their hands full with the young DL team. They have 3 solid in shape lines, they may not compare to the skills or firepower that south has. But they never quiet and usually tire out their competition by having the best work ethic in the state. I think DL will at first catch south off guard but south will take control of the game but DL will not let it get too much out of hand probably around a 6-2 or 7-1 game.

Pretty much looks like the east really doesnt respect the west when it comes to hockey. The west has alot to prove this year to the east teams, so it should be a fun state tournament. I was wondering to when the last time a team from out west won state?

I believe it was Minot and before that Bismarck. Other than those two not many other occasions of it happening spring to mind.

Minot won in 92-93....

Minot is the only team from the west that has ever won state when they beat bismarck in 93.

The only reason you disagree with that person is because you are from south and I have a good feeling that devils lake will give SOUTH a run for their chances in the opening round game...the reason is because they just over look the west and think that all they are is just a bunch of joke teams but you east guys are WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Devils Lake, but not I m not just that DL will beat south or it will be close because i am from DL but i will be a good match-up
