I think North has a chance against Grafton. That is if they can score. Big game from Welk..

I believe those are the correct match-ups but I don't think that's how the bracket will look (not sure if you were intending it that way).
Assuming it's set up the same as last year, the first round bracket will look like this from top to bottom:
#1W Minot vs. #4E GF Central
#2E Fargo South vs. #3W Devils Lake
#2W Williston vs. #3E Grafton PR
#1E GF Red River vs. #4W Bismarck
Which sets up at least the possibility of a South-Red River rematch for the state championship. Tonight's game was very close and the next one could easily go the other way.

Yes #9 tyler jundt got it from williston in the west region. Williston came up short in a well fought game with minot 2-1. Williston had their number 2 and number 3 players injured in the game. Shawn erickson looked like he hurt his wrist or shoulder and did not return. #5 lee hurt his ancle and returned to the bench. That may have been the differnece in the game figuring that those 2 players are very physical. The one i think you should watch out for in the the state tourny is #8 sophmore Colby Rehak, he seems to never fall to the ground. Rehak made 6-7 HUGE hits in the championship making Andy dittus, nathan stremick and Kelly look like rag dolls.(rehak 5'9" 165, dittus and stremick over 6'2"). The kid must have unbelievable upper and lower body strength. He has a nice point shot and is very smart. So watch for some big hits from him and also #7. Hopefully for williston they will alleast get back Lee. They also lost their last years leading scorer tyler liffrig. They were low on men in tonights game. They are a very rough team and i think that might hurt them at the state tourny because the west refs let them play more than the east region refs will. They will get lots of penalties if they dont keep their elbows down.

Paul Weisgarber from South won Senior Athlete of the Year in the EDC.
Obviously it will be a tough couple games to get there, but I would consider it a big upset if it wasn't a South-Red River rematch next weekend for the state title.

i herd that a lot of guys from a hockey team from the wda got minors before the tourney is that true or just a rumor.
