Does mandan have a chance to make it to state this year. With the west as weak as it is i think they have decent chance.

i dont want to rule them out if klein can stand on his head every game they could but he is going to have to be astonishing imo

So whats Century have to do to put themselves in the win column after thursday night when mandan travels to the VFW? I'll tell you one thing your team is already down with no Wentz and your goalie's the last few years have a lot of hype, but don't show it.

I dont know i was just saying after all this is a mandan topic right not CHS but i guess we will have to see come thurs

Well since Century is Mandans next opponet why wouldnt people talk about them.  This game is a measuring stick to Mandan to see where they are in the west.

Century over Mandan 4 -  3.....it was a really good game, Mandan lead 3 - 2 going into the 3rd period and Century made a nice comeback and scored a goal with 30 seconds left.

Yeah it was an awsome game, Flanagin had a hat trick And Erhardt had the game winner with 40 seconds left.  A fight also broke out at the end of the game.

Great Rivalry, its simple pure hatred towards each other

What a great game though, I don't think I've been to a better sporting event than that in a long time.

All I can say is, the rematch over in Mandan is going to be an even higher atmosphere with that little arena, and you couldn't hear a thing on the ice in the VFW.

Yah that game will be pretty crazy when Century goes to Mandan. They better hire security lol.

Do the west teams get banners for just making it to state?  Or do they get banners if they simply win a first round game at state because thats a pretty big accomplishment for them.  I mean lets be honest, one title in around 50 years.  And now theres a topic celebrating whether a west team will simply make it to state.

Dr. Pepper, Why do you talk so much trash? Seriously, do you understand the concept of numbers? How many students does South, North, Central, and RR have to choose from when picking a high school hockey team? Do you think teams like Dickinson, williston, century, hazen, or even DL, have the numbers to "Reload" every year like the teams in the east. From what I have seen living in North Dakota is they have a strong year, and then are down a few, until they can rebuild their programs. It is as simple as that. When I was in high school in Minneapolis do you think when we played one of the mighty teams in North Dakota "we talked trashed to them"? Or after, "you guys are just horrible, what makes you think you can come down here and play us?" No, Son you need to give it up. Hockey is a sport, that you play for fun, your fans, and play for the game it self. Don't disrespect the game, by disrespecting people or teams that have no business being ripped on. Its no secret that the west is weak. So let them be. I haven't heard once that a west team will beat an east team. So why rip on them? So if you're a south fan, or a north fan, or whatever, and you want to rip on someone, try to find a person, who is talking trash, and has played you, and has lost, and then rip on them. Because I think a lot of people on here are tired of your same old antics.

great input, also i think when you live in the east, when growing up i believe most of those kids want to play varsity hockey. In the west there is more of a basketball turn out, kids in the east live and breathe hockey more then the west in my opinion.

also some teams in the west did not have hockey until like 60 years after the grand forks and fargos

back to the mandan-century game, whens the rematch cause that'll be crazy and hopefully they DON'T hire security

And what happened to Logan (whatever his last name is)? I heard something was broken that required surgery, either way, he didn't play on the friday game against Dickinson. Were people also still missing due to the Century fight?

one of our assistant coaches that coached him in selects said that he heard that logan (martin i believe his last name is) supposedly suffered a broken or fractured tibula or one of the bones in your leg i dont know the circumstances for recovery but it sounded like he would be done for the season but i am not too sure

4 from the top 2 lines three to suspension and 1 now being out for the season

So is Mandan going to be missing players when they go to Jamestown tomorrow but they are going to lose either way
